New Delhi, Dec 6: On December 6, a Jaipur additional district and sessions court is set to pronounce the quantum of punishment to eight Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) members, including three Pakistani nationals, for their involvement in terrorist activities in India. The LeT members were arrested were arrested by Rajasthan ATS in 2010 and 2011. The terrorists have been identified as Asgar Ali, Shakkar Ulla and Shahid Iqbal, Babu alias Nishachand Ali, Hafiz Abdul, Pawan Puri, Arun Jain, and Kabil. Cyclone Ockhi, which has been wreaking havoc in southern India and was expected to hit coastal Gujarat by Tuesday midnight, has turned into a deep depression and may not hit the Gujarat coast near Surat, the Meteorological Centre said. Cyclone Ockhi may hit the Gujarat coast only as a “depression”, the official statement said.

“The cyclone has already weakened into a deep depression and it is highly likely that it will turn into a depression. There are possibilities that it does not hit the coast at all and, as there is a probability of dissipation over the sea before the landfall,” said Jayanta Sarkar, director of the MeT.
