Left JNU students raise questions over Vivekananda Statue, ask No money for hostel, only for statue?

The life-size statue of Swami Vivekananda stirs a row. The left Jawaharlal Nehru University students claim that proper permission was not taken for building the statue. The students further question on the transparency of funding and priorities of JNU administration.

This row oppose is stirred just three days before the opening ceremony. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was all set to inaugurate the life-size statue via video conference. However, students raised various claims and even alleged that the university does have the money to build statues but not libraries.
