After defeating East Bengal 3-2 in their last match, Aizawl FC will look to build on that result against Real Kashmir as well. They have already qualified for the finals in the Mizoram Premier League (MPL) which will only boost their confidence.
They have had a disappointing start to their league campaign as they sit ninth on the table with just five points from six matches.
All eyes will be on the striking duo of Ansumana Kromah and Leonce Dodoz as they will be up against a tight Kashmir defence which has conceded the least number of goals (3) in I-League so far.
Albert Zohmingmawia had a good game against East Bengal and much will depend on his performance. Skipper Alfred Jaryan and David Lalrinmuana will be tasked to control the midfield against the likes of Bazie Armand and Aaron Katebe.
David Robertson will be a relieved man after the 2-0 win against Indian Arrows. His team had been struggling in attack but the two goals against Arrows will hand them a boost before facing Aizawl.
He made some interesting tactical changes in the previous match as he fielded the defensive-minded in Mason Robertson as a second striker alongside Gnohere Krizo. It will be interesting to find out if he sticks to that strategy against Aizawl as well.
Krizo has been getting into scoring positions but the Ivorian has largely failed to convert chances. With only a single goal from five appearances, he has not been at his best. A lot will also depend on Danish Farooq who will have the onus to link up the midfield and attack.
Can the Snow Leopards pick up their second win on the trot or will the former I-League champions prevail? Let's wait and watch.
