Mohun Bagan welcome current I-League table toppers Chennai City FC to the Salt Lake Stadium this weekend. The Mariners' four-match unbeaten run was brought to a halt by Churchill Brothers at Kolkata last Sunday.

The Kolkata giants lost 3-0 as Shankar Lal Chakraborty's men were second best in all departments of the game. Having played a game less than Chennai City, the 2014-15 winners are eight points behind with the league leaders.

Chakraborty is expected to ring in a change with Lalchhawnkima to fill in for Dalraj Singh, who was culpable for two of the three goals conceded last weekend, in the centre-back spot.

Henry Kisseka is carrying a niggle but is expected to play. Yuta Kinowaki would have to pull the strings in midfield, while Sony Norde is expected to shoulder the creative burden.

Having taken the league by storm, Akbar Nawas' side sit pretty at the summit with a seven-point lead. Of the six games they have played, they have picked maximum points in five and are one of the two unbeaten teams this season.

With the league having already having reached the one-third mark, Chennai City have already accumulated more points than what the previous four champions had at this stage of the season.

It hasn't been long since they last visited Kolkata, picking up a 2-1 victory over East Bengal.

The Spanish quartet, led by Sandro Rodriguez and Nestor Gordillo, have put in scintillating displays. Even defender Roberto Eslava has been among the goals this season. Pedro Manzi, who already has four goals to his name, is expected to make a comeback after an injury prevented him from playing the last two games.

Chennai City have also roped in Slovak forward Jozef Kaplan but it remains to be seen if he makes it into the starting XI against the Green and Maroons.

The last time these two teams met in the City of Joy, it was the away side that prevailed which led to the resignation of former Bagan coach Sanjoy Sen. Can the hosts return to winning ways or will the Coimbatore-based outfit continue their strong start to the season?
