Gokulam Kerala are not in the greatest of forms and are currently on the 10th spot with 12 points from 15 matches.

Bringing in Gift Raikhan as the technical director has not helped changed their fortunes either as they went down to Real Kashmir in testing weather conditions.

Raikhan has not been able find a stable pairing at the heart of the defence which might be one of the reasons for leaking in goals. Too much of chopping and changing in each game has also affected the rhythm of the team.

The domestic players are going through a lean patch of form which is a serious concern for the Manipuri tactician. Gokulam had a bright start to the season with the likes of Rajesh S, Arjun Jayaraj and Pritam Singh firing on all cylinders. But a dip in their form has hampered Gokulam's performance.

All eyes will be on Trinidadian Marcus Joseph as he will be the go-to man in search of goals against Aizawl, having already scored three goals in four games for the club.

On the other hand, Aizawl FC eased some pressure off them after defeating Minerva Punjab at home. Under the guidance Stanley Rosario, the People's Club have steadily improved after losing only once in four matches since he took charge. But with only 14 points from 15 matches they are eighth placed in the league table and are in danger of getting relegated.

This match is crucial for both the teams as if they finish on same points then head-to-head will be taken into account to determine final standings. In the reverse fixture Aizawl beat Gokulam 3-2 and a similar result will only boost their chances of avoiding the drop.

Much will depend on the striking duo of Ansumana Kromah and Leonce Dodoz as Gokulam are not known to have the best defence in the league. If they can make the most of the opportunities then the former champions can pick up the second win on the trot.

Can Gokulam Kerala force their way up or will Aizawl climb to the seventh spot with three points on Sunday?
