Lalu Prasad Yadav to head to Mumbai for heart treatment
RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav who is out on bail for six weeks on medical ground will be leaving for Mumbai today in the evening for treatment of his heart ailment. Lalu will be undergoing a treatment at the Asian Heart Institute where he had gone for a bypass surgery in 2014.
According to family sources, Lalu had sought an appointment from the doctors at the Asian Heart Institute following which he will be leaving for Mumbai today. It is also learnt that post his heart treatment in Mumbai, Lalu will be going to Bengaluru to undergo treatment for his kidney disease.
Lalus personal physician, S. K Sinha, had said that the RJD chiefs sugar level was not constant and his blood pressure was fluctuating.
Lalus sugar level rises and declines abruptly. His blood pressure is also unstable. He has been referred to be treated at Mumbais Asian Heart Institute where he has undergone treatment in 2014, said S.K Sinha.
It may be mentioned that the RJD chief was admitted to Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS) in Patna on Saturday after he complained of hypertension and giddiness. Lalu went through a thorough check up at IGIMS by a team of top doctors from various faculties. He was later discharged from the hospital in Patna and referred to the advanced treatment in Mumbai.
Lalu, who has been convicted in the four cases relating to fodder scam, has been sentenced to 27.5 years jail term at the Birsa Munda jail in Ranchi. Couple of months ago, he was admitted at Ranchi Institute of Medical Sciences and later at All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi for the treatment.
Lalu had applied for a provisional bail on medical ground in Jharkhand High Court but he was allowed only six weeks. He came out on bail on 11th May.
