Krunal Pandya All Set to Tie The Knot in Mumbai Next Month
New Delhi: Hardik Pandya’s elder brother and Mumbai Indians all-rounder Krunal Pandya is all to tie the knot next month. The 26-year-old Krunal will marry Pankhuri Sharma on December 27 at a five-star hotel in Mumbai. The duo has been seeing each other for last one-and-half years.
“We will marry in a ceremony attended by family members and close relatives. On the same evening, a reception will be organized. I am very happy that I am marrying a girl who is more like a friend and understands me,” Krunal was quoted as saying by Times of India.
“She is a friend of my friend. We met at a common gathering two years ago and developed a liking for each other. We both are of same age and get along a lot. What I like about her is her simplicity and supportive nature,” he added.
Krunal also revealed that he proposed her for marriage after the final of Indian Premier League 2017, which Mumbai Indians won.
“Well, I proposed her for marriage after our team Mumbai Indians became champions in the IPL this year. I was awarded man of the match in the finals and I thought it was the right time,” Krunal said.
“Pankhuri immediately said yes. My family too is very happy. I believe that if you find the right partner then the relationship is the best part of your life. I found the right girl,” he added.
The all-rounder also said that cricket will always remain his top priority. “She understands that cricket is my life and supports me. She doesn’t watch matches much except those that I play in,” he said.
Meanwhile, Krunal is currently working on his fitness after he opted out of Ranji Trophy matches this season due to injuries.
