Kriti Sanon, Shahid Kapoor Get ‘Nothing To Hide Award’ And Twitter Loses Its Calm
Award shows are mostly aired around New Year’s Eve and this time too, on New Year’s Eve, the 23rd edition of the annual film awards show, Star Screen Awards came to rescue those who planned to spend last day of the year at home with family and friends. Dangal and Tumhari Sulu got the maximum awards. Vidya Balan and Konkona Sen Sharma were bestowed with the Best Actress Award, while Rajkummar Rao and Irrfan Khan won the Best Actor Award for their performances in Newton and Hindi Medium respectively.
But the talking point of the awards was not the these mentioned winners but the winners of show’s new award category- ‘Nothing to Hide’ which they started this year. The same was awarded to Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. And the viewers didn’t understand what exactly it meant. Soon as usual Twitter was abuzz with several memes on the new but strange category at Star screen. Some slammed the awards show while some trolled Kriti. Check out some of the tweets by trollers:

For the uninitiated, the event was held in Mumbai on 3 December 2017. The star-studded show saw the attendance of Vidya Balan, Salman Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Irrfan Khan and Rajkummar Rao among others. All the stars were dressed to nines and slayed the red carpet. What do you think about this new award category? Let us know in the comments below.
