The latest episode of Karan Johar’s chat show Koffee With Karan showed several unseen moments from this season which featured several Bollywood actors such as Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra...

Sunday’s episode of Koffee With Karan season 6, was a big bonus for the show’s fans. The 45-minute episode showed so far unseen moments from the season that didn’t make it to the respective episodes.

The episode showed fun moments between the many guests of the season and even some important conversations about marriage, careers and more.

A clip from Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra’s episode showed the two talk to host Karan Johar about fidelity. Karan asked the two if they will miss not having other options now that they are married women. Priyanka asked him, “So you are saying we cheated in all the relationships we were in before this?” He said no but asked them if they are “One-man women”. Kareena said, “Of course” and Priyanka gave a cheeky reply, “So far”.

The three also discussed how Kareena set a precedent for all the young female actors after her that getting married doesn’t harm one’s career. She talked about her marriage with Saif Ali Khan and how people advised her against it. “When I wanted to get married, everyone said that ‘He has two children, he’s been divorced. Are you sure you want to do this? Your career will be over.’ I was like ‘Such a big crime to be in love? Such a big crime to get married?’ I was like ‘let’s do it and see what happens’,” she said. Priyanka said Kareena even set a standard on how to carry pregnancy flawlessly and she wanted to be like her when she gets pregnant.

Even Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone talked about marriages and careers. Deepika said that women are capable of handling their marriages and work at the same time. “I think there are a bunch of us today who are very very clear about what we want for ourselves. I think we are also very driven about our careers. The same way we are driven about wanting a stable, personal life, a relationship, a marriage. I think all of us are equally capable of managing both or more with an equal amount of passion, dedication, commitment and success.”

Karan then said how he advised Alia against getting married a year ago, telling her to focus on her career. He apologized to her for it and said that he should be ready to support her whenever she decides to get married. Alia said that she too didn’t want to get married but that thought changes when you meet the right person. “Honestly Karan, there was a time in my life where I was like, ‘Oh my God, I won’t get married till I am 30. I need to act and I need to do this thing.’ But, that’s also when you have not really met the right person. So, when you feel like you are in a space where you are very comfortable and it feels very peaceful and right, then there is no timing that really matters. And I believe that and that’s what I have always done.

“I have never been very calculative about my career or the choices I have made. This would be a full calculation that ‘I don’t want to get married because I still want to be a star. I still want to be an actress or I want to be desired. That’s calculation and it’s manipulative. You do films with your heart and choose good characters and work with amazing directors and new directors and new writers. Anyway, it’s kind of proven that it’s not the actors that are really driving the film, it’s the content. So, whether we are married or single or you know in a relationship or whatever, I don’t think it really matters,” she said.

Deepika’s husband Ranveer Singh also had cute things to say about her. Karan asked him what he would never change about her and Ranveer replied, “She has this child-like quality about her that I hope never changes.” He, however, said he would like to change how she has no ‘chill’ and is a big time disciplinarian all the time.

Varun Dhawan and Karan complained to Katrina Kaif how she never invites them for parties and she explains that its because she had a small home. She also talked about how she feels at peace with being single.

Varun talked about his girlfriend Natasha Dalal and how she has supported him throughout his career. “Where me and Natasha are concerned, I think, eventually, after we get married, we are together all that stuff, she has to, she has her own individuality. That’s why I’m with her because she has her own individuality, she has her own voice which is super strong with things she wants to do and things she wants to achieve in life. And, as her partner, that is something I want to support, you know. And, she has been so supportive where my career is concerned, always, from day one actually,” he added.

Saif Ali Khan and his daughter Sara talked about the pressures of looking good in the industry and how it pushes men and women to get plastic surgeries done to their faces. Sara also talked about the time her mother Amrita Singh and Saif came together to drop her to her university in London. Amrita made her bed and Saif tried to unsuccessfully change a light bulb in her room.

Other bits from the episode included Ajay Devgn saying wife Kajol always ‘talks, talks, talks’ and Diljit Dosanjh telling Karan how people always think he has a private jet.

Janhvi Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor find a previously unseen and the only childhood picture of the two of them together. They got visibly emotional on finding it. Arjun said he will tell his sister Anshula about it and make her jealous that he has a picture with Janhvi while she doesn’t.

From the next week, Koffee With Karan will show re-runs from the season.
