Koena Mitra might have disappeared from the movie scene, but she still continues to grab headlines. The actress launched an attack on Netflix for their upcoming original Leila starring Huma Qureshi. The first promo of the upcoming limited series, directed by Deepa Mehta, was released today. The show is set in a dystopian future where children born from an inter-faith couple are detained by the government. The show has been branded as 'Hindu hate series' by Koena. She also said in a tweet that she will be unsubscribing from Netflix.
"This isn't an ordinary hate," she said making her point. Then she challenged the OTT platform to make a series on Halala. "Halala is real....No fiction," she said.
