All you need to know about Acer and HP first windows 10 S educational laptops

New Delhi, May 3: Microsoft clearly stated that the Surface Laptop — and Windows 10 S which was launched on Tuesday was designed specifically for students. Microsoft launched Windows 10 S along with the Surface Laptop to compete with Apple’s MacBook named as  Google’s Chromebook laptops. Soon after that HP and Acer came up with their first notebook variants running on the education-focused software. HP launched ProBook x360 eEducation Edition and Acer introduced the TravelMate Spin B1 – both running on Windows 10 S. Acer and HP both have launched this laptop earlier only but this time they have launched with same hardware but with advanced windows 10 S software.

Talking about  HP ProBook x360 Education Edition, It is a strong device which will spot 11.6-inch (1336×768 pixels) display. It is equipped with  Intel Celeron processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage. Previously HP launched this device in December while keeping Schools and students in mind they have made a muscular device as it is very normal that kids will drop these laptops as often. It has a 360-degree hinge to rotate completely into a tablet. It is also equipped with a dual camera system and it also has 1080p HD camera on the keyboard for the users to take video in tablet mode as well. In USP port department it has two USB 3.1 ports, one USB Type-C ports, one HDMI 1.4b port, one AC power connector, and one 3.5mm audio jack. The company claims 11 hours battery life as students have school activities and homework kept in mind. HP ProBook x360 Education Edition Windows 10 S version will be available around  $299 (roughly Rs. 19,200) soon.

Features and specifications of Acer TravelMate Spin B1


Acer TravelMate Spin B1  sports 11.6-inch (1920×1080 pixels) display and powered by an Intel Celeron processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage as similar to HP ProBook x360 Education Edition. The laptop also has a 360-degree hinge and converts into a tablet. In connectivity, the department has the advance option of dual-band 802.11ac 2~CHECK~2 MIMO Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, a GbE port, USB ports, a webcam, an SD card reader, a touchpad, and a spill-resistant keyboard. The Windows 10 S variant will be available in retail stores in the US and online as well at the price around $299 (roughly Rs. 19,200).

HP and Acer rival companies Dell and Asus are also gearing up to launch their own education laptops in the US market soon.
