Kia Seltos mileage figures out
Kia Seltos has become the talk of the town. While the compact SUV is all set to be launched in India on August 22, it is garnering much attention for its design and features at the moment. You can book Seltos through the company website or Kia Motors India's 206 sales points across the country by paying an initial amount of Rs 25,000. On the very first day of the commencement of bookings on July 16, the carmaker had received 6,046 bookings for Seltos. When it comes to four-wheelers, there is one thing our country is absolutely obsessed with and it is the mileage. Now, the fuel efficiency figures of Kia Seltos are also out.
The upcoming Kia Seltos boasts of three engine options. There is a 1.4-litre Turbo GDI petrol mill churning out 140 hp and 242 Nm of torque. Then, there is a 1.5-litre petrol motor making 115 hp and 144 Nm of torque. The diesel option is a 1.5-litre powertrain producing 115 hp and 250 Nm of torque. All the three engines get a standard 6-speed manual gearbox. So far as automatic options are concerned, the 1.4-litre Turbo GDI petrol mill is offered with a 7-speed DCT, the 1.5-litre petrol motor with a CVT and the 1.5-litre diesel powertrain with a 6-speed torque converter. According to a report by Autocar India, below are the expected mileage figures of Kia Seltos.

-- Seltos 1.5-litre petrol MT - 16.4 kmpl
-- Seltos 1.5-litre petrol CVT - 16.3 kmpl
-- Seltos 1.5-litre diesel MT - 20.8 kmpl
-- Seltos 1.5-litre diesel AT - 17.8 kmpl
The report also said that the expected mileage figures may differ from the ARAI-certified fuel efficiency numbers.
Kia Seltos is expected to be priced in India between Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom). The compact SUV will rival Hyundai Creta, Renault Captur and Nissan Kicks. It will also challenge Tata Harrier, Mahindra XUV500 and the recently-launched MG Hector.
The upcoming SUV will be available in GT Line and Tech Line variants, with further sub-divisions depending on features. Seltos will have eight monotone and five dual-tone colour options.
Unveiled in India on June 20, Kia Seltos will have features like tiger-nose grille, crown jewel LED headlamps, Kia signature heartbeat shape LED DRL, ice cube LED fog lamps, LED taillights and dual exhaust pipes. It will also have 10.25-inch touchscreen audio video navigation system with an 8-speaker Bose sound system, multifunction steering wheel, 8-inch HUD (Heads Up Display), cruise control, EPS (Electronic Power Steering), blind-spot view monitor, eco coating and push-button start/stop.
Kia Seltos will come with the UVO Connect system, having 37 smart features under five separate sections -- navigation, safety and security, vehicle management, remote control and convenience. Apart from Seltos, recent launches like MG Hector, Hyundai Venue and Nissan Kicks also boast of connected car technology.
