Kerala: Vaccine shortage in several districts; triggers fear amongst people

While the COVID cases are rapidly increasing in the country, a shortage of vaccine is a prominent problem that the states are facing. Rising transmission and fear of vaccine shortages have led to an inundation of people at the vaccination centres. Kerala has reported more than 16000 cases a day, and the state struggles with the lack of COVID vaccines. Four districts of Kerala are observing a major shortage in vaccines which have forced people to stand in long queues outside government hospitals and vaccination camps. As per the data till Monday Kerala has only 1,25,000 doses of Covaxin and 3,20,000 doses of Covishield left.
