Kerala governor Arif Mohammad Khan has finally given his assent for a one-day special assembly session in Kerala. This demand was put forward by the Pinarayi Vijayan government, which the governor earlier refused. Pinarayi Vijayan government requested a special session, in order to pass a resolution against the three contentious farm laws, but were denied permission. Arif Khan asked the Vijayan government the urgency and the need for a special session while denying the permission earlier. The special assembly session will be held on Dec 31. Arif Mohammad Khan also expressed a lot of concerns regarding the farming and agriculture sector in the state and in what ways it affects Kerala. Kerala governor then met with the speaker and two other ministers and gave his assent.
