Kerala Government to challenge the HC's decision of increasing limit of devotees in Sabrimala temple

Kerala Chief Minister Piranayi Vijayan plans on challenging the High court's decision of increasing the number of devotees in the temple. The High Court passed the decision that a number of devotees attending the Sabrimala temple should be increased from 2000 people to 5000 people.

The State Government refuses to accept the High Court's decision owing to the increasing number of Covid cases in Kerala. The High court took this decision keeping in my mind the falling revenues of the temple, however, with the positivity rate in Kerala being over 10%, the Government of Kerala plans to challenge this decision in the Supreme Court.
