Kerala: Fresh set of restrictions imposed from June 5-9; Essential services allowed

In order the curb the COVID test positivity rate, the state has decided to impose additional restrictions from June 5 to June 9. It is reported that commercial establishments which have been permitted to operate will be allowed to function from Fridays from 9 AM - 7 PM. However, they will remain closed from Saturday to Wednesday. Only shops that are selling essential commodities, goods for industrial establishments and construction material will be allowed to be open during that particular time period.
