Kerala Free Speech Row: CM Pinarayi claims 'no curb on liberty'; BJP slams double standard

Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan signed an ordinance amending the Kerala Police Act more power to check online abuse. As the debate over free speech row and new law for social media in Kerala is surging, Chief Minister Vijayan Pinarayi has responded saying 'There is no curb on personal liberties; no curb on freedom of press’.

The opposition has lashed out at Pinarayi Government calling it a draconian law. Union I&B Minister Prakash Javadekar stated 'This is the real face of Left parties'. While Congress MLA VD Satheesan said ‘Kerala Government is trying to impose 'police raj' & silence though who criticize the Government’.
