A total of 150 students and 34 teachers were tested covid positive in a school in Kerala. This was reported in Maranchery Government School in Ponnani after one student was diagnosed with COVID. Following this, 684 persons were sent for testing. Out of them, 150 students were tested positive for the virus who were studying in class 10. None of them reported any COVID symptoms earlier. The state government of Kerala appealed the school administration to follow the covid 19 guidelines emphasizing that schools must implement Standard Operating Procedure more efficiently. The school's administration has asked all the students to stay in quarantine.
