Keeping caste equation in mind, Yogi Adityanath govt gets 24 new ministers | Full list

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday expanded his cabinet to include 24 new faces. This is the first cabinet expansion in Uttar Pradesh after the Bharatiya Janata Party came to power in the state in 2017.

Yogi Adityanath's expanded cabinet includes six cabinet ministers, six ministers with independent charges and 12 ministers of state.

While expanding his cabinet, Yogi Adityanath has kept caste and regional equations in mind. The new ministers include: six Brahmins, two Thakurs, two Jats, one Gurjar, three Dalits, two Kurmis, three Vaishya, one each from Rajbhar, Garediya, Shakya and Mallah communities.
