Radikaa Sarathkumar was announced as the host of Kodeeswari, the Tamil version of popular Hindi reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati a few weeks ago. On Saturday, the host of KBC, Amitabh Bachchan congratulated Radikaa and wished her luck for the show. Radikaa is the first woman host of the show, nationally and internationally.
In a video posted by Colors Tamil official Twitter handle, Big B said, "As you embark as a host for KBC, there are several reasons that you needed to be congratulated upon. You are going to be the first woman host of KBC in the history of the show nationally and internationally, the contestants of KBC are all going to be women which is not only unique but encouraging and motivating. My good wishes to you and the contestants. May you always excel as you have in your career. "

Radikaa and Amitabh Bachchan have shared screen space in films such as Aaj Ka Arjun (1990) and Lal Baadshah (1999).
Radikaa's husband and actor Sarathkumar also congratulated the actor. He tweeted, "Dear Radika it is indeed one more feather in the cap for you for becoming the first woman to host the prestigious KBC both nationally and internationally exclusively for women and being appreciated by the greatest star Amitabhji"
“Amid the cacophony to empower women, that has become a cliché across geographies and communities, I think, the need to simply acknowledge her for who she is and what she stands for has been lost. Kodeeswari will celebrate women for who they are," Radikaa had earlier stated in a statement.
Radikaa has been active on the television medium for a while. As an actor, she was last seen in Tamil television series Chandrakumar. As a host, she was seen in Bangaram Mee Kosam (2007).
