Kate Middleton was spotted dressed up in red last night, reportedly for her mother Carole's 64th birthday party, according to the U.K. outlet Mirror, who published photos of the royal. The Duchess of Cambridge was said to be seen outside of her sister Pippa Middleton's flat in Chelsea, en route to the fête.
Kate went for a bold party look yesterday evening, opting for a bright red maxi dress with matching pointed-toe heels and dangling statement earrings. She covered up with a long black coat, and carried a shopping bag over her shoulder.
It's hard to tell what dress duchess is wearing exactly, but fan account @TeaCambridges suggests it could be the flirty Alexander McQueen frock she wore in Germany in 2017. The page @MiddletonMaven, which documents the Middleton sisters' looks, also says the dress is by McQueen, and that the coat is from Ida Sjöstedt.
When we last saw Kate in this red number, she was attending the Queen's Birthday Party with Prince William at the British Ambassadorial Residence in Berlin in July 2017. The event took place during the Cambridges' royal tour of Poland and Germany. (Even their kids, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, tagged along for the five-day trip.)
The dress is a breezy off-the-shoulder frock with peasant sleeves, a cinched waist, and ruffled neckline. Kate sported the look with shoulder-length curls during the Berlin reception, along with nude zig-zag sandals and red dangling earrings.
The Duchess of Cambridge previously stunned in red when she attended the Royal Foundation dinner in November. She donned a cherry asymmetrical gown by Preen, which she recycled from a reception in Victoria, Canada in 2016.
