Kashi Mandir survey; petitioner receives death threats; U.P police provides security cover

The Varanasi court directed the ASI to conduct a survey on the Gyanvapi Mosque and the Kashi Vishwanath temple in Varanasi after a petition was filed in the court, citing Mughal land grab. The petitioner has now been granted a security cover after he complained of receiving death threats. The Uttar Pradesh government has provided a security cover to the petitioner as the ASI is yet to conduct the survey of the disputed property of Gyanvapi mosque and the Kashi Vishwanath Mandir.
