Karnataka State Board of Waqf issues a circular to Mosques & Dargahs, says ‘No loudspeaker at night’

A fresh row has erupted after the Karnataka state board of Waqf issued a circular to all mosques and dargahs in the state to not use loudspeakers between 10 pm and 6 am. The circular stated that the ambient noise level around these structures has an impact on human health and the psychological well-being of people. It is reported that no loudspeakers are allowed to be played at night now. The guidelines were issued by the Karnataka State Pollution Control body. SDPI on the other hand wants the order to be revoked. ‘It is the responsibility of all the institutions and the departments’, said an official. Watch the video to know more!
