Karnataka to revamp Covid-19 guidelines; Cabinet to take call on slew of measures

Karnataka government all set to issue new guidelines in wake of the surge of the rising Covid-19 cases in the state. Reports suggest that there have been discussion to revisit the current guidelines and take stringent measures to contain this alarming spread. With over 45,000 cases and 210 deaths the second wave seems to have hit the state very hard and this situation needs immediate action. The Technical committees have already submitted their reports raising alarming concerns. However, the CM is yet to make the final call but it is very likely that his decision will be towards a restructure given the scenario of the state crossing the 10 Lakh mark and becoming the 3rd largest contributor of Covid-19 cases in India.
