Focusing on the state of Karnataka, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (RDPR) Minister K S Eshwarappa has vented to Governor Vajubhai Vala against Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa for his direct intervention in affairs. A BJP minister in the state also alleged him of “serious lapses” and of running the administration in an “authoritarian way”. In a five-page formal complaint letter, Eshwarappa accused the CM of making allocations worth Rs. 774 crore from the RDPR department bypassing him calling it a violation of the Karnataka (Transaction of Business) Rules, 1977, and also against the “established practices and procedures relating to the affairs of the state”.
