The Centre recently announced that it has no data on the Aaryogya Setu app, which the citizens have been using for tracking COVID cases around them. The anonymity of the Aarogya Setu app created a row. Karnataka High Court has restrained the Centre and the National Informatics Centre from sharing the user data of the Arogya Setu app without informed consent. The interim order was passed today by the division bench. The bench has also observed that the app gives away the privacy of the user by tracking their details. The stay order was passed today, citing that prima facie the app seems to be violating the privacy of the users.
