Bhopal, January 20: Local leaders of the Congress in Madhya Pradesh's Bhopal have demanded Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan be given party's ticket to contest upcoming Lok Sabha election from Bhopal. Since Bhopal is her husband Saif Ali Khan's hometown, Kareena Kapoor often visits the city. A group of Congress corporators, led by corporator Guddu Chauhan, has sought an appointment with state chief minister Kamal Nath to pitch for Kareena Kapoor.

Saif Ali Khan, son of late Nawab of Pataudi and former Indian cricket captain Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and actress Sharmila Tagore, sealed his relationship with Kareena through a registered marriage in 2012. Since then, Kareena, also known as Bebo, has been visiting Bhopal on different occasions.
