Kangana Ranaut made headlines when she slammed Karan Johar for being the "flag-bearer of nepotism" on his show Koffee With Karan. While Karan had kept mum on her remarks so far, he broke his silence during an interaction at the London School of Economics and lashed out at the Queen actor.
According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Karan had another motive behind his outburst - Hrithik Roshan. The Ae Dil Hai Mushkil director is reportedly wooing Hrithik for a film. It is widely known that Hrithik and Kangana had a very public spat, and KJo's response makes it clear that he is not buying her "victim" act. In fact, the director did not mince words and said that she should leave Bollywood if she was so "terrorised by the bad world of the industry." Karan said, "You cannot be this victim at every given point of time who has a sad story to tell..."
Responding to the allegations of nepotism, KJo had said, "I don't think she has understood the entire meaning of the term." Citing the examples of Dostana director Tarun Mansukhani, Kapoor & Sons director Shakun Batra and Badrinath Ki Dulhania director Shashank Khaitan, he asked, "What is nepotism? Am I working with my nieces, nephews, daughters, cousins?"
