Justice Ginsburg to Make History as First Woman to Lie in State at US Capitol

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg will make history as the first woman to lie in state at the United States Capitol on Friday, September 25, according to reports.

Ginsburg was lying in repose at the Supreme Court on Wednesday and Thursday, and her coffin was brought to the Capitol on Friday morning.

This video, posted by Instagram user @maddie202strong on Friday, shows police escorting a hearse with an American-flag-draped coffin inside.

Presidential candidate Joe Biden and running mate Kamala Harris, along with several other politicians, planned to attend a memorial service at the Capitol on Friday, The Washington Post reported.
