JSSL 7s returns even bigger and better for 2019 with Singapore Tourism Board's 3 year support

JSSL announces football coaching convention on sidelines of main event

The JSSL Singapore Professional Academy 7s is set to grow and will return in 2019 with added elements which will help spur the growth of football in Singapore and in the region.

For the 2019 edition which will be held from 19 to 21 April, the event looks set to involve targeted 400 teams and more than 6000 players and officials.

Additionally the event will also see a newly added feature which is the Football Coaching Convention which will be held sidelines on the main event. The JSSL Singapore Football Coaching Convention will see football experts from the various attending clubs who will speak on various topics for the benefit of the local football fraternity.

Besides the Coaching Convention, the JSSL Singapore Professional Academy 7s will also feature young women’s teams from a few world renowned clubs. Valencia and Atletico Madrid are among the teams confirmed for the girls academy U16’s programme.

Added JSSL 7s General Manager Gavin Lee: “There has been a phenomenal growth of the women’s game around the world. To help spur the growth of the women’s game in Singapore and around the region, it was only natural that we added the women’s programme to the JSSL Singapore Professional Academy 7s. It is our hope that football becomes the top sport which girls choose when they enter schools and decide which sport they wish to take part in.”

Significantly the event has been made possible due to the support of Singapore Tourism Board (STB).  STB has been working with JSSL in organising such fruitful football events for more than three years.
