Jharkhand CM Raghubar Das Flouts Traffic Rule on Diwali, Rides Scooter Without Helmet With His ‘Mates’

In India, 16 people die every hour in road accidents which results in one death in every four minutes.

Ranchi, Oct 20: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das was caught on camera riding a scooter without helmet on Ranchi’s roads on Thursday. The video that emerged on Friday has sent Twitteratis into frenzy with people questioning the CM’s visitible flaunting of power by violating the basic law for two-wheeler riding.

Coming at a time when the Central government is making relentless efforts to spread awareness about road safety in the country, in the video, Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP’s) Das is seen driving a two wheeler without helmet, along with a band of other people on their two wheelers, riding on the streets of Ranchi like biker gangs in Hollywood movies (even they wear helmets, btw).
