Jakarta [Indonesia], Apr 22 (ANI): A growing metropolis, Jakarta has introduced Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Contact Project to reduce constant traffic jams in the capital city.
One of the outstanding features of the Shimizu Joint Venture section is the adoption of the Shield Tunnel Boring Method used to construct tunnels, making this the first time that this method was used Indonesia.
The stations will be connected by 2 tunnels with an inner diameter of 6.05 meters.
The implementation of the Shield Tunneling Method in Phase 1 of the construction has completed its task by reaching its final destination.
