Jammu Kashmir's Kupwara: Indian Army and BSF foil a Pak-sponsored narco-smuggling operation

The Indian Army and the Border Security Force (BSF) foiled a Pakistan-sponsored narcotics smuggling attempt in the Karnah forests on Tuesday, recovering 10 kg of narcotics worth approximately Rs 50 crore. According to an official statement, this is the second time in the last week that Pakistan's 'Narco Terror Model' has been busted. In a joint operation a week ago, a 10 kg heroin consignment was seized from the same general location, but this time the traffickers were spotted bringing the drugs along the Line of Control (LoC). The strong anti-filtration stance of the Indian Army and the BSF prevented smugglers accompanied by Pakistan-based terrorists from crossing the border, forcing them to abandon their cargo and flee.
