Jamia firing: Happened in split of second, police couldn't react, says Special Commissioner

Delhi Police's Special Commissioner Praveer Ranjan met the student who got injured in shootout outside Jamia Millia Islamia during anti-CAA protest on January 30. When asked if police was complacent in taking action against the man who shot outside Jamia, Ranjan said, "It happened in a split of second. By the time police could react, he had already fired. It happened so fast that police couldn't react. Police immediately overpowered the boy. The boy is being questioned. The case will be handled by crime branch now."
