Jacqueline Fernandez To Recreate Madhuri Dixit’s Iconic Ek Do Teen Number In Baaghi 2

The song will reportedly be choreographed by Ganesh Acharya

While fans cannot wait to see rumoured couple Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani sizzle on screen in Baaghi 2, which is slated to release on March 30, 2018, we have some great news that will cause your excitement levels to soar higher. Well, according to reports, Jacqueline Fernandez will be making a special appearance in the action drama, dancing to the tunes of Laxmikanth-Pyarelal’s evergreen hit “Ek Do Teen” which bagged Alka Yagnik the Filmfare award for Best Playback Singer (Female) and Saroj Khan for the Best Choreographer.  This song also brought Madhuri Dixit immense popularity back in the day.

Now, nearly thirty years later, Ahmed Khan, who was Saroj’s assistant then and Baaghi 2’s director now, is recreating the song in the film with her blessings. The song will reportedly be choreographed by Ganesh Acharya, who was one of the backup dancers in the popular song of the 1988 Anil Kapoor starrer ‘violent love story’ Tezaab. In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Ahmed said, “There will be three choreographers on the set today, that’s a picture perfect moment in itself. The iconic song fits into the script perfectly. It’s an all-time favourite and I have asked Ganesh to retain Sarojji’s famous hook steps and Manish Malhotra to keep Madhuri Dixit’s pink outfit in mind while designing Jacqueline’s costume. I want the same feel of the earlier song that still looms large on everyone’s mind and also the same vibe, with the crowds chanting ‘Mohini, Mohini’ as Madhuri takes the stage.”

Earlier, it was said that Disha Patani would be recreating the same magic on the 70 mm once again in a rehashed version in Baaghi 2. However, latest reports suggest that the Sri Lankan beauty would be replacing her to recreate the same magic on the 70 mm screen in a rehashed version in Baaghi 2. The film is reportedly the official remake of the hit South film Kshanam with a few alterations made to suit Tiger’s age. Bankrolled by Sajid Nadiadwala production, Baaghi 2 will also star Prateik Babbar, Manoj Bajpayee and Randeep Hooda. While Randeep Hooda will essay the role of Tiger’s friend in this sequel, Prateik will be seen essaying the role of an antagonist in the film.
