J&K: Two Sikh girls 'forcefully converted' to another religion; Sikh delegation meets MoS home

Manjinder S Sirsa, the leader of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), claims that two Sikh girls were forcibly converted and married to elderly men of a different religion in Jammu and Kashmir. Following the charges, the Sikh community staged rallies and asked that the Union Territory pass an anti-conversion law similar to those in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. In Kashmir, a Sikh team led by BJP's RP Singh meets with MoS G Kishan Reddy to discuss alleged forced conversion and weddings of Sikh females. The gathering took place on the same day that members of Srinagar's civil society attempted to reclaim the older of two ladies who had been kidnapped by a 27-year-old guy.
