The Centre gave a push for One India by introducing new land reforms for J&K, which means that anybody would be able to purchase the land in Jammu & Kashmir now. Prior to this, the land in J&K could only be purchased by citizens residing in the erstwhile state of J&K, but ever since the special status of J&K was removed, new laws try to integrate the erstwhile state into the country. The move or the decision, however, has not gone well with the opposition and parties in J&K.
PDP is again staging protests in J&K and the reactions have come in from the leaders, who were later taken away by the police. The PDP office has now been sealed in J&K. The minister further adds that the GOI is robbing the state of its resources and its land.
