J-K minister triggers row, says bullets only way to deal with stone pelters in Kashmir

BJP MLA Chandra Prakash said that bullets were the only way to deal with stone pelters and similar 'anti-national' forces in Kashmir, a remark that is surely going to embarrass the party.

A senior minister in the ruling BJP-PDP coalition government in Jammu and Kashmir has triggered a massive row by saying that bullets are the only way to deal with stone pelters in Kashmir.

BJP MLA Chandra Prakash added all these forces who are 'anti-national' could be made to mend their ways by use of bullets.

The remark is only going to embarrass the BJP, which has been struggling to end the unrest in the Valley as there been a spurt in clashes between the security forces and Kashmiri youth and students of late.

The Modi government has been criticised by Opposition parties for mishandling the crisis in the Valley and alienating the Kashmiris.
