The Indian army's northern command has planned a two-day motorcycle ride in Jammu and Kashmir to commemorate Kargil Vijay Diwas, which honors the victory in the Kargil war 22 years ago. Lt. Gen. Y K Joshi, GOC of the C Northern Command, is leading a group of 25 motorcycles from Udhampur to the Kargil War Memorial in Drass, to celebrate the Kargil Vijay Diwas. The Kargil War, also known as the Kargil conflict, was an armed battle between India and Pakistan that took place in Kashmir's Kargil area and elsewhere along the Line of Control from May to July 1999.
