Team India claimed gold medals in the men's and women's 10m air pistol team events on the third of ISSF World Cup.

In the women's section, Yashaswini Singh Deswal, Manu Bhaker and Shri Nivetha bagged the top prize.

Meanwhile, the likes of Saurabh Chaudhary, Abhishek Verma and Shahzar Rizvi secured gold in the men's event.

Women's: Indian women's team finished ahead of Poland

The Indian women shot 16 in the gold-medal round, leaving behind Poland's Julita Borek, Joanna Iwona Wawrzonowska and Agnieszka Korejwo, who managed eight.

The hosts topped the second qualification with 576, while the Polish women shot 567.

In the first qualification, the Indians aggregated 1,731 (290, 287, 288, 287, 293 and 287).

Meanwhile, Poland managed 1,701 (286, 283, 286, 286, 286 and 287).

Men: How did the Indian men fare?

In the men's final, the Indian men shot 17 in the gold-medal round, as compared to Vietnam's 11 (Dinh Thanh Nguyen, Quoc Cuong Tran and Xuan Chuyen Phan).

The Indian men aggregated 1,750 in the first qualification, while Vietnam scored 1,708.

Meanwhile, India led the second qualification with a total score of 579, with the Vietnamese totaling 565.

Medalists: A look at India's other medalists

On Saturday, the 23-year-old Deswal won the individual gold medal in the women's 10m air rifle event. Besides, her compatriot Bhaker settled for silver.

Also, Chaudhary and Verma claimed the silver and bronze medals respectively in men's individual 10m air pistol final.

On Day 3, India's trio of Deepak Kumar, Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar and Pankaj Kumar settled for silver.

Ganemat Sekhon: Ganemat Sekhon wins bronze in women's Skeet event

Later on Day 3, India's Ganemat Sekhon won the bronze medal in the women's Skeet event.

However, her compatriot Karttiki Shaktawat finished fourth, just missing out on a medal.

With this, India have taken their total medal count at the ISSF World Cup 2021 to nine (Gold: 3, Silver: 3, Bronze: 3).

They are leading the medals tally presently.

Fact: A total of 292 shooters are participating in the tournament

A total of 294 shooters from as many as 53 countries, including Korea, Singapore, USA, United Kingdom, Iran, Ukraine, France, Hungary, Italy, Thailand and Turkey, are participating at the ISSF World Cup, that will conclude on March 28.
