FC Pune City are currently eighth with five points from eight matches, but it has taken eight games for them to register their first victory of the campaign when they defeated Jamshedpur FC 2-1 in the last week where Diego Carlos and Matt Mills were on target.

The Stallions ended a 13-game winless run in all competitions when they defeated Jamshedpur FC.

Pradyum Reddy, the club's interim coach, will be pleased to see Iain Hume make his club debut after the exit of Emiliano Alfaro. As such, the coach will be hoping that Hume will strike a partnership with Marcelinho. Diego and Ashique Kuruniyan have also been impressive on the flanks and Reddy might want to see Hume link up with them well too.

Robin Singh, who has had a listless campaign so far, could possibly be dropped to the bench.

Eelco Schattorie northeast united kerala blasters isl 2018-19

NorthEast United were out of the top four after their first defeat of the season that came against Mumbai City FC before the international break.

Eelco Schattorie's men have since been able to climb into the top four once again after a thrilling 2-1 win over Kerala Blasters last Friday, courtesy of goals by Bartholomew Ogbeche and Juan Mascia in injury time.

Mascia, who came on as a substitute, was involved in both the goals in the last match and there is a chance that the Uruguayan striker could be handed more game time against Pune.

One of the hallmarks of NorthEast United this season has been their dogged nature which has allowed them to stage a couple of stirring comebacks. Expect them to be at their best against Pune.

Can Pune build on their first win of the season? Or can Schattorie's team continue their sublime form?
