Irfan Ansari performs puja at Baidyanath Dham, BJP MP demands his arrest

Irfan Ansari, a Congress MLA from Jharkhand, performed puja at the famous Baidyanath Dham temple in Deoghar, which is considered to be Lord Shiva's most sacred abode, sparking outrage. BJP MP Dr Nishikant Dubey demanded Ansari's immediate detention, claiming that non-Hindus are not permitted to enter the temple. Ansari said that he has been visiting the Baidyanath Dham temple since he was a child to seek Lord Shiva's blessings. The two leaders had engaged in a Twitter war of words a few days ago over who would inaugurate the newly built railway station in Godda. The decision to practically inaugurate the station was made after the Hemant Soren government tried to prevent its physical inauguration, according to Dubey, a BJP MP from Jharkhand's Godda constituency.
