Iran's opposition leader Mousavi back home after medical examinations for heart ailment

Tehran, Aug 24 (ANI): Leading Iranian opposition figure Mir Hossein Mousavi has returned home after being treated for a heart problem at a hospital.

The report, published on the state-owned YJC, said Mousavi was in good condition, but must continue medical treatment at home.

According to The Guardian, Ardeshir Amir Arjomand, a senior advisor to Mousavi during his presidential campaign and a leading exiled opposition figure, said on Thursday, that 'Mousavi was taken to the hospital after his blood vessels became blocked'.

Mousavi, who had been under house arrest for more than a year, ran against President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in the 2009 election.

Reformers have claimed that Ahmadinejad's victory was fraudulent and demonstrations rocked Iran for weeks. (ANI)
