Chris Morris - Rajasthan Royals - INR 16.25 crore

The talented of all-rounder started with a base price of 75 lakh with RCB, MI, and PK in battle. RR finally bagged the 33-year-old at a whopping cost of 16.25 cr. South African Chris Morris’s worth is the highest for any player this season and makes him the most expensive player in the history of IPL. The right-arm fast pacer has played 70 matches in four IPLs so far. Morris has taken 80 wickets and scored a total of 551 runs.

Kyle Jamieson - RCB - INR 15 crore

The New Zealander has managed to impress the IPL teams with his international performances. Kyle Jamieson’s bidding started at a base price of 75 lakhs, with RCB, Delhi Capitals, and KXIP rooting for him. RCB finally picked him up at a majestic price of 15 cr. The 26-year-old right-handed bowler has picked up 54 wickets in 38 T20I he has played, and the upcoming IPL will be his first in this league.

Glenn Maxwell - RCB - INR 14.25 crore

This year, the third most expensive player, Glen Maxwell’s bidding, started at a base price of 2 cr, with KKR, RR, and CSK raising the bar for him. Finally, the Australian all-rounder was bagged by RCB at a worthy cost of 14.25 cr. Maxwell has consistently played a total of 82 IPL matches for three different teams over the past 13 years. He has a booty of 1505 runs at a strike rate of 154.67. He has 19 wickets to his name and was titled the ‘Most Valuable Player’ in 2014.

Jhye Richardson - Punjab Kings - INR 14 crore

The bidding for Jhye Richardson started with a base price of 1.5 cr between RCB and DC. PK finally stepped in and bagged the player for 14 cr. The 24-year-old Australian fast bowler has snatched nine wickets in nine T20Is and has a total of 78 wickets in 62 T20s to his name. He was the leading wicket-taker in BBL 2020-21, with 29 wickets in 17 matches while playing for Perth Scorchers. This will be Richardson’s first IPL.

Krishnappa Gowtham - CSK - INR 9.25 crore

The bidding for this 32-year-old Indian all-rounder started at a base price of 20 lakhs, between KKR and SRH. Finally, CSK bought him at a magnificent price of 9.25 cr. He is the most expensive uncapped player in the history of IPL auction. Gowtham has so far played 24 matches for RR and KXIP. The off-spinner has taken 13 wickets and scored 186 runs with a strike rate of 169.09.
