After an action-packed double-header Sunday, Chennai Super Kings will take on Rajasthan Royals in the 12th game of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021.

The Super Kings made a solid comeback by sealing a one-sided victory over Punjab Kings the other night.

Meanwhile, all-rounder Chris Morris powered the Royals to victory in the final-over thriller against Delhi Capitals.

Here is the statistical preview.

H2H: A look at the head-to-head record

The Yellow Army have done well against Rajasthan Royals in the IPL.

In 23 head-to-head meetings, Chennai have managed to win 14 matches with a win percentage of 60.87.

On the other hand, the Sanju Samson-led Royals have claimed nine victories against CSK (win percentage: 39.13).

Battles: The key battles to watch out for

RR skipper Sanju Samson, who remains the only centurion this season, has fallen to Deepak Chahar thrice in the IPL (39 runs off 28 balls).

CSK skipper MS Dhoni has a terrific record against Jaydev Unadkat, who took three wickets against Delhi Capitals.

Thala Dhoni has smashed him for 83 runs off 36 balls, while Unadkat has dismissed Dhoni only once.

Strategy: All eyes will be on Deepak Chahar

In CSK's previous game against Punjab, fast bowler Chahar came out all guns blazing.

He destroyed Punjab's top-order in the powerplay, and eventually registered figures of 4/13 in four overs.

He could do the same against RR, who will have Jos Buttler at the top.

As of now, Chahar has picked up 36 wickets at 27.50 in the powerplay (0-6).
