Before the start to the season, Bangalore were hit by injuries to key players apart from Kohli. India opener KL Rahul was ruled out before the start of the edition, while talented youngster Sarfaraz Khan looks doubtful after hurting himself during a practice session.
AB de Villiers having missed the first two matches made his return in Bangalore’s third game on Monday against Punjab and scored a 46-ball 89.
Kohli had hurt his right shoulder during India’s third Test against Australia in Ranchi. He also skipped the fourth and series-deciding Test, which India won in Dharamsala. Also read: IPL 2017: Shane Watson blames himself for RCB’s defeat

Bangalore are scheduled to play Mumbai Indians at home on April 14.
