IPL 2017: Australian pacer Ben Hilfenhaus joins Delhi Daredevils

Australian fast bowler Ben Hilfenhaus signed an Indian Premier League (IPL) contract with Delhi Daredevils as a replacement of South African batsman JP Duminy. The Delhi franchise announced Hilfenhaus’ inclusion in the squad on Friday.

The right-arm fast bowler represented Australia in 27 tests, 25 one day international and seven Twenty 20 Internationals. He has not played a T20 match since 2012. The34-year-old bowler has played for two IPL franchises in past editions.

Meanwhile, Kerala wicket-keeper batsman Vishnu Vinod has replaced injured Lokesh Rahul in the Royal Challengers Bangalore team. Rahul was ruled out from the tournament due to a shoulder injury. The 23-year-old Vinod has had a good run the limited overs formats in domestic cricket, hitting a total of 16 sixes in T20 competitions.  Also read: Virat Kohli is thankfully still my friend, says David Warner

Rising Pune Supergiant lost their bowling star Ravichandran Ashwin to injury. Tamil Nadu all-rounder Washington Sundar has replaced Ashwin. The Pune franchise picked Sundar instead of experienced Parvez Rasool as the former bowled three batsmen of RPS.
