Institutes tie up with AFI, T-Hub to support social startups Hyderabad, Nov 8 (PTI): Four organisations here onFriday have announced a collaboration for developing a socialentrepreneurship eco system in Telangana.
Action For India (AFI), an organisation that helpssocial enterprises with access to technology, investors andgovernment agencies, International Institute of InformationTechnology, Hyderabad (IIIT-H), Indian Institute ofTechnology, Hyderabad (IIT-H), and T-Hub, a state governmentinitiative for startups, are the four organisations.
The collaboration was formalised with a memorandum ofunderstanding (MoU) during the annual Action For India Forum2019 at the Indian School of Business (ISB) here.
Under the MoU, the four organisations would pool intheir experience and resources to create an eco system tosupport tech-enabled, social impact startups, countrywide, apress release said.
The not-for-profit collaboration aims at deliveringstrategic scaling support to 5,000 social impact startups overfive years, the release said.
The alliance is designed to address the criticalchallenges faced by social entrepreneurs with a special focuson business model, market discovery, go-to-market strategy,scale-up strategy, right technology application and securingfunds, it said.
The partnership also aims to put Telangana as the topstate in the country supporting the startups and would makeefforts to ensure that the state demonstrates a unique modelfor nurturing social enterprises for fostering inclusive andequitable growth, the release said. PTI GDKNVG NVG
