India's COVID crisis: Professor Lawrence Gostin decodes the situation in India

India has been reporting a significant number of COVID cases in the last couple of weeks and is now witnessing a decline since April 21st. The active case count has now come down to 35Lakh and Prime Minister Modi has chaired a COVID review meet on Saturday with the state CM's and high-level officials, to take stock of the situation. The second wave has also taken a toll on the rural areas, and the rural pockets are now turning into containment zones.
