India Women's T20I Captain Harmanpreet Kaur tests positive for COVID-19

Harmanpreet Kaur has tested positive for COVID-19. The star India batswoman posted on Twitter that she is ‘feeling ok’ and has quarantined herself as per the guidelines advised by her doctors. Kaur, 32, last featured in India’s 1-4 defeat in the five-match ODI series against South Africa in Lucknow. She missed the subsequent T20 series owing to a hipflexor injury sustained in the ODI series finale. There has been a sudden surge of positive COVID-19 cases in India over the last three weeks, with Monday seeing the addition of another 56,000 cases. Four other former Indian cricketers including Sachin Tendulkar, subramaniam Badrinath, Irfan and Yusuf Pathan too revealed to have tested positive for the virus in recenr days.
